Brenna picks up on the thoughts of a frightened little girl who had lost both parents in a freak automobile accident. She rushes out into the night and finds the girl cowering in the shadows, fearing desperately for her life. Her quest to keep the child safe leads her straight to a group of unsavory individuals.
