The Jersey Devil, born over 200 years ago, delights in frightening developers who want to take land from the Pine Barrens, clear and sell it for money. The first issue tells about his birth, his myth, and then the Devil decides he will not only protect the Pines, but he will do what he can to create fear for developers worldwide…such as the Amazon Rainforest, and tap water corrosion, and much more. In a sense, he becomes a superhero for the environment.
