This is a very interest and intriguing start for the “The Last Whiz Kids Story Trilogy”, with Galahad investigating the murder of a fellow superhero and discovering a world wide conspiracy that leads him to reform the Whiz Kids. This comic would be a bit confusing even for someone familiar with the Whiz Kids, as while there are returning characters I’m pretty sure most of the Whiz Kids here besides Galahad and Cyclone are new characters. However the new characters are cool, the story is good and the art is really enjoyable. I will say though, I do wish they had kept Galahad’s costume at the start as they change it for something much more “modern” and I don’t think it looked as good. I will also let people know that this feels more like a modern superhero comic with 80s/90s influences, as opposed to previous issues, so if that isn’t something you want from Big Bang then this won’t be for you.
