Peter Pan is injured from and being chased by a young vampire slayer. Pan finds a crypt to stay in while the sun is up and his rest is interrupted when the slayer finds him and forces him to fight for his survival. All fairy tales and myths are true to some extent. Most of them are still alive and living among us. This comic book follows the Vampire Peter Pan and his friends’ lives.

I have a soft spot for vampire and Peter Pan lore. Here Gary Brantner knows where he can combine those together, as well as myth and folklore. As it is, JM Barrie’s original Peter Pan cannibalized the Lost Boys, so I wondered if he was going in that direction with him as a vampire, but was an entirely different spin. It’s a fresh coat of paint on all the featured legendary figures, and I wagered followed how plot followed all the characters’ journeys here. The art is something entirely new with the feel of a child’s POV, but with a plot worthy of adults. Defiantly recommended.
