Rubi-Na Kerdox, a bounty hunter from the Argonian Republic, travels to Outback in search of a fugitive. She encounters a strange mutant and gets more involved in a local conflict than she would have wanted. Marcus, a local mercenary, gets hired for what seems to be merely a treasure hunt. However, he soon finds it's much more.
After a genetics program conducted by the Gatanese Empire turned several children into bioweapons, said children escaped and most were returned to their families. Those that weren't were sent to orphanages, some being adopted. Many now adults, these bioweapons must cope with the fear and hate others have because of how dangerous they are. Those like the Black Guard, a villainous group of bioweapons that believe that the strong should rule, complicate the matter further. However, a group of heroes is forming to combat these threats and the ever-looming threat of the Gatanese Empire.
