What Ashes wants hasn't ever played much of a part in what Ashes gets. The safest and easiest route is to go along with the flow. But now, swept up in a constant stream of events beyond her control, the chance to choose her own destiny has appeared. Is the possibility of a happy ending for this fairy tale worth the risk?
Once upon a time, in a happy kingdom... A girl who is called "Ashes" lives with her seven brothers. As she is the only woman in the house, they unfairly task her with all the cleaning duties, claiming it is the way of things. But who would be happy to clean all day while her brothers do what they want? When the prince of the land has a ball in order to find a wife, Ashes finds herself attending despite her objections. Yet instead of a prince, the one Ashes meets at the ball is a handsome woman.
