Having escaped from an underground gladiator arena, Sliver and Dorioth try to start afresh. However, living like "normal people" proves much harder than they expected. Personal squabbles, a dangerous candy thief, a mysterious pin-up model -as well as their past- eventually catch up with them.
Ball and Chain is set in a post nuclear disaster Canada, and follows the adventures of a young girl named Sliver (who wields a ball and chain) and her friend, Dorioth (the owner of a pair of shape-shifting metal gloves).
